Xera was a rescue that we had decided to keep, instead of placing, that was a result of a Back Yard Breeder (BYB).  Conformationally, she was almost everything a Rottweiler should not be.  She stood almost 30 inches, had a very long, narrow muzzle, had a bubble gum pink mouth, light eyes, hound type ears, very narrow chest, straw coloured markings, tucked up like a Greyhound, and was very easty-westy... just to name a few things.  Character-wise, she was perfect ......Loveable, confident, outgoing, strong (a little stubborn), and loyal.

Health-wise, she had her share of problems.  Xera started to limp at 5 months old.  We took her to the vet and yes, our suspicions were confirmed.  Xera was severely dysplastic in both her hips and elbows, and also had bad shoulders (OCD).  And she had the beginning of cataracts.
